Why Sprinkler and Irrigation Work Is Its Own Specialty

An irrigation system is the part of a Bakersfield yard people notice only when it fails. Underground it is a network of valves, PVC lines and fittings wired to a timer, with sprinkler heads at the end of each line, and any one of those parts can fail while the rest keep working. That is why a lawn can have a brown stripe in one corner and a soggy patch in another with both problems coming from the same system.

In a place that gets only 6 to 7 inches of rain across a year, nearly all of it in winter, a broken sprinkler is not a small annoyance. Lawns can go from green to stressed within a few hot days, and the shrubs in the same zone go with them. Sprinkler work is the one landscaping service where waiting costs you money.

We split this category in three. Sprinkler repair deals with heads, nozzles and the visible parts of a zone, irrigation system repair goes deeper into buried leaks, valves, wiring and the controller, and sprinkler system installation covers a new system for a new lawn or a yard that never had one. If you are not sure which you need, call and describe what the yard is doing and we will tell you.

Why Choose Us for Sprinkler and Irrigation Work

Jose started with sprinkler fixes as part of everyday gardening work and still takes those repair calls himself. The person who diagnoses the problem is the person who knows what it costs and how long it will take, with no middle layer in between.

We are a landscaping crew first, so we also look at what the water is doing to the yard: overspray onto the sidewalk, puddling at a low spot, shady areas that never dry out. Fixing the part without fixing the pattern means calling us back in a month.

Sprinkler & Irrigation FAQs

What is the difference between sprinkler repair and irrigation system repair?

Sprinkler repair deals with the parts you can see: spray heads, rotors, nozzles and risers. Irrigation system repair covers what is behind them, meaning buried lines, valves, wiring and the controller. If one head is broken it is a sprinkler repair; if a whole zone is dead it usually points deeper.

How do I know if my irrigation system has a leak?

Look for a patch of lawn that stays soggy or sinks without a head nearby, low pressure across several heads in a zone, or a water bill that climbs without any change in how you water. Any of those is worth a call.

Should I turn the system off until it is repaired?

If water is pooling, spraying a wall or running where it should not, switch the affected zone off at the timer until we can look at it. If a pipe is gushing, close the shutoff for the system if you know where it is. Then call us.

Will repairs bring back a lawn that already has brown patches?

Grass that is stressed from uneven watering often recovers once coverage is restored. Patches that have fully died may need to be replaced, and we will tell you which is which when we see the lawn.

Who actually does the repair work?

Jose Ramirez takes sprinkler and repair calls himself. You are not passed to a dispatcher or a subcontractor you have never met.
